Privacy Policy

AdPerch (“AdPerch,” “we,” “us”) operates adperch.ai. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site or the AdPerch product, how we use it, how matching works, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you create an account and set up a perch, we collect your email address (and, if you sign in with Google, the basic account information that sign-in provides) along with the details you choose to add. For founders, that’s your role, your stage, what you’re building, and the related notes, applications, and events you put on your perch. For investors, that’s your investment focus, check size, sectors, and — if you claim a fund — the verification information you submit to confirm your association with it. We also receive standard technical data that any website records, such as IP address and browser type, through our hosting provider’s logs. We do not use advertising trackers in the product.
If you set a password, our auth provider stores it hashed — we never see it. We also collect images you choose to upload (a logo, an avatar, a perch backdrop), screenshots you attach to a feedback report, messages you exchange after an introduction, and your email address if you join the waitlist before creating an account.
How we use it
We use this information to operate AdPerch — to run your perch, to power Percy, to surface potential matches between founders and investors, and to contact you about the service. We do not sell your information.
How matching works — and what’s visible
This is the part most worth understanding, so we’ll be plain about it. Setting up your perch and your criteria is what makes you discoverable. When your perch matches an investor’s stated criteria, a limited preview of your perch can be surfaced to that investor — enough for them to recognize a potential fit, not your full record. Your criteria are the consent: by describing what you’re looking for, you’re asking to be matched against fits.
A full introduction — exchanging contact and opening a direct conversation — only happens when both sides explicitly greenlight it. Until that mutual greenlight, no contact details are exchanged and no direct conversation is opened. So there are two distinct moments: being discoverable as a limited preview to investors you fit, and being introduced, which is always a deliberate, two-sided action. Percy preparing or proposing an introduction is never the same as making one; that step is always yours.
Town Square
Town Square is an optional public feed. If you choose to list your perch on Town Square, it becomes publicly visible to anyone browsing — this is different from gated matching, where only a limited preview is shown to fitting investors. Listing on Town Square is opt-in, and you can remove your perch from it at any time.
Who we share it with
We use a few trusted service providers to run AdPerch, and they process information only on our behalf: Netlify (website hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (email delivery), and Anthropic (AI processing that powers Percy; API data is not used to train their models). Beyond that, your information is shared with another AdPerch user only as described above — a limited preview to fitting investors, and a full introduction only on mutual greenlight, or a public listing if you opt into Town Square. We don’t share your information with anyone else except where required by law.
You can also create a share link for your perch to send to a specific fund. Anyone with that link can view what it exposes — and links can be forwarded, so treat it like handing over the document itself. It’s your action, and you can revoke a link at any time, which shuts off access for everyone.
Percy and AI
Percy is your AI fundraising agent. When you ask Percy a question, we send your record — the applications, notes, and events you’ve added to your perch — along with your question to our AI provider, Anthropic, which runs the model that writes Percy’s answer. When Percy researches a fund for you, it also reads public pages about that fund (a firm’s own website, public filings) and passes those in. That’s it. We never send your password, and we never send another founder’s data into your Percy — your perch is yours alone.
We use Anthropic’s API. Anthropic does not use data sent through their API to train their models. Your record is used to answer your question in the moment, not to teach an AI about you.
Percy is built to show its work. A statement Percy makes with a citation chip is grounded in your record — click it and you’ll see the exact event it came from. A statement labeled “Percy’s read” is Percy’s inference or synthesis, not a fact on your record — we label it so you always know which is which. Percy never invents a citation.
We keep simple counters of how much you use Percy — for example, how many questions you ask in a day — purely to manage our costs and keep the service sustainable. These counters are about usage volume, not the content of what you ask.
How we source fund information
AdPerch builds investor and fund profiles from publicly available sources — including public regulatory filings (such as SEC EDGAR) and research across public online sources — and from information that a fund or investor provides or confirms directly. We work to keep this information useful and reasonably accurate, but we don’t guarantee it’s complete or current. If a profile concerns your firm, you can claim it, correct it, or ask us to remove it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information until you ask us to remove it or until it’s no longer needed for the purposes above.
Your choices
You can ask us to access or delete the information we hold about you at any time by emailing contact@adperch.ai. We’ll honor your request promptly.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
AdPerch is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above.
